Have we got news for you - Fred’s in town

One of Scotland’s best loved comedians Fred MacAuley, star of BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz and TV’s Have I Got News For You is on the road again and stopping off to join in Halifax Comedy Festival with a gig at Square Chapel (Sunday October 25).

In his first tour since 2012, Fred looks at his family life at home and looks forward to how his country will shape up after the referendum of 2014.

As well as looking backwards and forwards, he’ll probably look sideways at politics, sport, the environment and, without sounding too like a brief for a newspaper, there will undoubtedly be a colour supplement with a look at ‘celebrity’.

This is a hugely significant year for the long-running BBC Scotland presenter. Back on the road again after 18 years at BBC Radio Scotland presenting the very funny and eventful MacAulay and Co. Fred’s on air witticisms and on screen reputation are the product of years of experience on the live circuit, including a stint as the first ever-Scottish compere at the Comedy Store in London. Tickets are available from the Square Chapel box office on 01422 349422.
