Two concerts in one day for charity fund

Calder Valley singing group, Cantorelli, will raise funds for the St Augustine Centre in Halifax at two Christmas carol concerts on Sunday December 6, at Hope Baptist Church, Hebden Bridge, at 2pm and at the Good Shepherd Church, Mytholmroyd, at 6pm.

The programme will include some unusual arrangements of popular carols as well as some less well-known Christmas songs including a new carol composed especially for the choir. There will also be an opportunity for audience participation.

Admission to the concerts is free with a retiring collection for the St Augustine Centre to enable it to continue its work with the most marginalised members of society. Over the past few months there has been an increase in demand on its services, and the centre has an ambitious target to raise £10,000 before Christmas.
