X Factor and Voice stars head to town

X-Factor finalist-turned West End leading lady Rachel Adedji and The Voice semi-finalist Jaz Ellington will join the cast of a brand new stage show ‘Simply The Best! Divas’, which arrives at the Victoria Theatre, Halifax on March 4 next year as part of a nationwide tour.

Having shot to fame on the TV show, Rachel broadened her talents even further by setting her sights on musical theatre, starring as Mary Magdalene in ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’.

She previously starred in ‘Thriller Live’ – the hit West End show also directed by Gary Lloyd, who has now turned his attention to creating the ultimate pop concert.

On performing in the show, Rachel said: “I’m thrilled to be joining three amazingly talented singers and can’t wait to share the stage with them for Simply The Best!”

Since achieving a semi-final spot on The Voice and evoking a huge reaction on Twitter with his performance of John Legend’s ‘Ordinary People’, Jaz, a Brit School alumni along with the likes of Leona Lewis and Adele, has gone on to feature as a prominent backing vocalist both live with Rita Ora and Markus Feehilly, as well as featuring on recordings with Ella Henderson and also on Kylie Minogue’s most recent Christmas album.

Featuring some of the biggest and most adored hits from the likes of Beyoncé, Madonna, Annie Lennox, Kylie, Diana Ross and Adele, this live concert spectacular promises to be a dynamic visual experience too.

Expect to be immersed and empowered by classic tracks such as Like A Virgin, Single Ladies, Rolling in the Deep, Spinning Around, Chain Reaction, If I Could Turn Back Time, and many, more!
