Crews from Halifax, Illingworth and Rastrick were called to the club on Waterhouse Street at 8.55pm In a statement from the the Acapulco management team they said: "We thank the Emergency Services for their amazing work during the fire. "There prompt response, fast action stopped the spread of the fire before too much damage could happen." Staff were preparing to open the nightclub when the fire started but were evacuated soon after and the fire crews were called. On Saturday an assessment was made of the building. After a huge clean up operation the nightclub opened as usual on Saturday.
