Elizabeth Oldfield, from Design Glass and Touchstone Glazing, said: “I’m working from home and I’ve got three kids, so I’ve been trying to think of things to do at home.

“I printed off some glass window templates for them to colour in and I thought ‘they’ve really enjoyed that’ so I said to one of our directors ‘why don’t we send this out and make it a competition’.

“It’s just to lift that bit of pressure because I know how hard it is to think of things to do with kids when you’re stuck indoors.
“We’ve had a lot of schools involved and street groups on Facebook, we’ve had a really positive response to it.

“The winner in each of the four age categories will get a window hanger, while the winner from all ages will get their design made into a stained glass window for their school.

“We’ve had four entries so far but there are more on the way. Schools have said they’ll send them across when they can, and so have friends and family.

“It’s just a nice little gap-filler for them and something a bit different. And what’s nice is they get something physical if they win.

“We’re going to look at how we can expand on it in the future for charities or the NHS.
