Business crime prevention roadshow comes to town

West Yorkshire Police in partnership with the Business Crime Reduction Centre (BCRC) are hosting a crime prevention roadshow to help small and medium sized businesses become more resilient against the threats of crime.

The roadshow will move to different business parks in the county and will come to Lowfields Business Park, Elland on September 2 with more still to be announced.

Businesses will receive impartial security advice from their local Police Community Support Officer and business crime specialist and will cover the latest crimes affecting businesses in their area including cybercrime and fraud scams.

BCRC’s West Yorkshire team leader, Carl Lovett said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for the business community in West Yorkshire to learn about the best techniques to protect their business against crime. It also gives people the chance to ask the questions which are important to them and have them answered by an expert in business crime.

“Prevention is always better than cure for many types of crime and BCRC aims to promote this mind set across the business community.”

Any business wishing to attend can find further information at www.bcrc-uk.org/events or by emailing [email protected], with ‘BCRC Roadshow’ the email subject.

BCRC is part financed by the European Union through the Yorkshire and Humber European Regional Development Fund Programme 2007-2013.
