Cafe getshygiene thumbs up

Caterleisure Group, who run a food and drink outlet in Halifax railway station and are owned by FC Halifax Town director Stuart Peacock, have been given a five star food hygiene rating.

The company owns the Caféxpresshop site at the station, which opened nearly three years ago, and employs over 300 staff nationwide.

An inspection was carried out by the Food Hygiene Rating Scheme, which is run by local authorities in the UK in partnership with the Food Standards Agency.

The rating of five is the highest Caterleisure Group could have received and means the business was found to have ‘very good’ hygiene standards.

A Food Safety Officer assessed how hygienically food was handled, the condition of the premises and how the business managed and recorded what it did to make food safe.
