Calderdale firms shortlisted at White Rose Awards

Five Calderdale-based organisations and events have been shortlisted in this year's White Rose Awards.

The largest tourism event in the UK will be the first awards dinner to be held at the brand new £11 million Yorkshire Event Centre in Harrogate on November 21.

Hebden Bridge Arts Festival has been shortlisted for Yorkshire Event of the Year, while Hebden Bridge Visitor Centre is up for the Visitor Information Award.

Elmet Farmhouse in Hebden Bridge is shortlisted for Self-Catering Accommodation of the Year, Holdsworth House Hotel and Restaurant is on the shortlist for Large Hotel of the Year, and in the Inns and Restaurants with Rooms Award, the Shibden Mill Inn is among the nominees.

Tourism in Yorkshire is worth £7 billion annually and the county’s industry employs almost a quarter of a million people.
