Care company's move creates 100 new jobs

A home care company in Calderdale has bounced back after the Boxing Day floods by creating 100 new jobs after moving to larger premises on Elland high street.

The official launch of Home Instead Senior Care’s new premises is taking place on May 13 when Lisa Lambert, Mayor of Calderdale, will be in attendance.

On Boxing Day 2015, their previous office in Brighouse was flooded, which sparked a move to a new location.

The care company chose to move into their new premises as they had been empty for over two years and were falling into disrepair.

Satinder Salona, owner of Home Instead, said, “We chose to restore and repair this particular unit on the high street as it was unused for so long and we wanted to provide a more accessible office for members of the public who are looking for care for their elderly relatives.”

Along with the move, the company is now looking for 100 more caregivers, office staff and apprentices to join their Calderdale team, who celebrated their third birthday this year.

Satinder commented: “In addition to a new office space, we are delighted to be partnering with Age UK Kirklees and Calderdale and we will be supplying the whole range of mobility and personal care products from our Elland shop.”
