Hide AdMr Sewell decided to become an optician at the age of seventeen after witnessing the suffering caused by his grandfather’s glaucoma. This personal tragedy spurred an interest in cutting-edge optical technologies and he went on to train at the University of Bradford before becoming fully qualified in 2005.
As Donovan Smith is one of the only local opticians with in-practice OCT and Optomap technology, the practice made an obvious choice for the aspiring optometrist’s next career move.
Mr Sewell said: “I’m ready for a new challenge and it’ll be great to start at this forward-thinking family practice. Donovan Smith has a brilliant reputation in the local area, and I hope I can help develop the business through my experience and interest in emerging technologies.”
Robert Foulds, owner of Donovan Smith, said: “We’re really excited to have Oliver join our team.
“Oliver has a great track-record and his passion for practice development will no doubt make him a valuable addition.”
