Closure of Yorkshire Bank in Brighouse postponed
The owner of Yorkshire Bank has scrapped plans to close branches, including in Brighouse, due to coronavirus.
The Brighouse branch was set to be one of more than 50 axed across the UK, and was due to be closed at the end of the year.
But Virgin Money UK PLC has announced that, as a result of coronavirus, those closures have been put on hold until further notice.
Lucy Dimes, Group Business Transformation Officer at Virgin Money UK, said: “Our primary focus is on supporting our customers and protecting our colleagues during this challenging time. As a result of the impact of Coronavirus in the UK, we have decided not to proceed with the integration changes we announced in February.”
