Halifax employer Covéa Insurance named as of the best for work in digital

The company has been shortlisted in the large organisations category of the 2020 Computing Digital Technology Leaders Award, which recognises businesses nationwide that successfully attract, train and retain the best and brightest digital talent.

Covéa Insurance provided judges with evidence of its innovative culture, embracing employee ideas, training and support for digital skills.

This included its digital training academy, digital employee engagement initiatives, pioneering digital events in the wider community and diversity and inclusion awareness campaigns such as ‘Stemettes’ and #techshecan.

The company is on a mission to transform its products and services for the digital age.

Chief Technology and Information Officer, Graeme Howard said: “Over the last eighteen months we’ve been implementing the first stages of a major investment programme to fund the expansion our digital operation.

Covéa Insurance has recruited over 100 people into digital roles in the last year and is currently recruiting for a further 39 roles, with further plans for the second half of the year.
