Halifax energy firm aims to lead Government home improvement scheme

Halifax based energy efficient home improvement experts, Eclipse Energy, are gearing up to pioneer a new government scheme in Yorkshire, Green Homes Grants.

Announced by Chancellor Rishi Sunak, and launching in Autumn, the £2bn Green Homes Grants provide between £5,000 and £10,000 of grants for homeowners and landlords across the country to make energy efficient improvements to their home.

These measures include insulation, air source heat pumps, energy efficient doors and windows and smart home thermostats. Over 600,000 households across the UK are eligible for the funding.

Eclipse have worked across West Yorkshire installing energy efficient measures in homes, both domestically and as part of large government contracts.

The company also works with local homeless charity Focus4Hope providing home improvements for the elderly and isolated, are the main sponsor of Halifax Rugby League, and won the 2019 Halifax Courier Sustainable Business of the Year Award.
