Here's what can and cannot re-open from July 4 as lockdown rules eased

In an announcement made by Prime Minister Boris Johnson earlier today (Tuesday), details were given on new rules of lockdown and what businesses will be allowed to re-open.

The following venues can re-open on July 4:

o Pubs, bars and restaurants: They will only be allowed to reopen with a table service indoors, and owners will be asked to keep contact details of customers to help with contact tracing.

o Hairdressers: They must appropriate measures such as face visors.

o Theatres and music venues: The venues will not be allowed to hold live performances.

o Hotels, holiday apartments, campsites and caravan parks: Shared facilities must be cleaned properly

o Leisure facilities and tourist attractions such as cinemas, galleries and playgrounds: They can only open if it is safe to do so.

Also announced was the news that weddings will now be allowed to have 30 attendees, and places of worship will be allowed to hold services.

Two households will also be able to meet indoors and stay overnight, but they must still keep 2m apart.

The following locations will not be able to open from July 4:

o Nightclubs and casinos

o Bowling alleys and indoor skating rinks

o Indoor play areas including soft-play

o Spas

o Nail bars and beauty salons

o Massage, tattoo and piercing parlours

o Indoor fitness and dance studios, and indoor gyms and sports venues/facilities

o Swimming pools and water parks

o Exhibition or conference centres - other than for those who work for that venue.
