Account manager Roxy Siddique said: "With the unprecedented times ahead of us during the COVID -19 pandemic it was vital that customer and driver safety took first priority.

"If we were to continue providing a service to the public we had to think ahead of the game and bring in first class service.

"We have over 30 vehicles with protective screens fitted and we are hoping to have protective screens fitted to the entire fleet so there is minimal contact between the driver and passenger.

"We have also launched mobile card payment machines in our vehicles, again as a protective measure for our drivers and customers. This has had a very positive reaction and again we are hoping to have the fleet equipped with the card machines so every vehicle has one and is available throughout the day and night. We are the first taxi firm in Halifax to have taken these steps and hope others will follow."
