VanDad, which sells one-owner vans and commercial vehicles, was based on a 25-vehicle site near Knaresborough, but has now expanded to a new site in Boroughbridge with more than three times the capacity.

Harrogate businessmen Steve Taylor and Paul Bulmer started VanDad after spotting a gap in the market for well-presented vans aimed at tradesmen and small businesses. It has since been selected as the preferred van-supplier for award-winning companies Harrogate Spring Water and The Dog Walker and Mr Taylor believes further expansion – and jobs – will be on the cards over the next 12 months.

“This is an exciting time for everyone involved in VanDad – this new site gives us the capability to further improve the service we provide as a local business serving the local community with competitively-priced vans,” he said.

“We have succeeded in our aim to offer the same high-quality service for commercial van sales as there is in the high-performance car market.”
