Halifax pub delivering homemade meals to care home staff and residents
Steve Murray and Natasha Taylor have served over 70 elderly and vulnerable people every week for the last six weeks.
The food they have been delivering is on a rolling rota and has included a Sunday lunch, sausage and mash, shepherd’s pie, meat and potato pie, lasagne and pasta bolognese.

”We supply residents and staff at two care homes and we have a list of vulnerable people we visit with free hot meals.
”We’ve always supported one of the care homes with free food and buffets because we feel very strongly about giving back to the community.
”We noticed there were a lot of people not being able to get out and felt it was right we did something about it.

”We’ll do it every week we can.
Steve added: “There’s nothing more important. We all need to reach out and help each other, and come together as a community.
”We are getting good feedback from the community, although we’re not doing it for the praise. We’re doing it so that people can rely on us.
”We just want to be that bit of extra support for people who need it.”
