Halifax's Marks & Spencer announces new opening hours
One of Halifax’s most popular stores is now opening for longer.
The Halifax town centre branch of Marks & Spencer is open from 8am until 8pm on weekdays, as of this week.
The move extends the store’s opening hours, which were previously until 6pm, Monday to Friday.
Halifax’s M&S, in The Woolshops, is still open from 8am until 6pm on Saturdays and from 10.30am until 4.30pm, with browsing available from 10am, on Sundays.

Shoppers have been reacting with joy to the news on social media, with one posting: “Much better as 6pm is too early when it sells food and other supermarkets are open later.”
Another posted: “We are lucky to have such a great store in Halifax.”
Meantime, The Woolshops has welcomed a new store this week – Holland & Barrett.
The health and wellness giant moved into what used to be Bodycare today.
Its previous branch on Crown Street closed yesterday.
