Element has been one of the flagship businesses on Market Street in Hebden Bridge since it was established in 2003 by Caroline Kindy and Nick Shields, a local couple who have been heavily involved in the business community since that time.

Mark will take over the business from 1 August, retaining the popular existing staff team of Ali Haley and Madeleine Hoyle, overseen by Dawn Swinden and now ably assisted by Eileen Kelly on the marketing and admin front.

The shop will also have a fresh, new look, new ideas and plenty of new jewellery, whilst maintaining the pedigree that has made it so successful.

Caroline Kindy said: “Our difficult decision to sell the business has been made so much easier knowing that it is now in the safe hands of Mark Coup, who is personally known to us. We wish him and the team every success and have a really good feeling about Element’s new life.”

Mark Coup said: “As a resident of Hebden Bridge and a client of Element, when I heard that the business was up for sale, I decided to put in an offer very quickly as I knew that such a successful business with a distinctive presence on the high street wouldn’t be on the market for long.

“I would like to wish Nick and Caroline the very best with their future plans and thank them for creating a wonderful customer experience at Element. I very much look forward to welcoming new and existing clients to join us in the next chapter.”
