Hebden Bridge drink makers win £60,000
Drinks company Equinox Kombucha, of Hebden Bridge, have won the Grocery Accelerator award for food and drink start ups.
The competition saw 330 small food and drink producers compete for £60,000 funding and a year of business mentoring with some of the biggest names in the food and drink industry.
Applicants had to submit a formal business plan and pitch to a group of angel investors where six of 12 finalists secured investment. The unique taste and craft brewing practices of the innovative company Equinox Kombucha, won over judges and the company secured funding to take the brand to the next level.
Equinox Kombucha is available in over 200 independent health food stores.
