Insurer inks major pet deal with Aviva

Harrogate company NCI Insurance Group has won a major pet insurance contract with insurance giant Aviva.

The deal, believed to be worth millions of pounds, will run for five years and will help NCI to grow its current insurance product range for dogs, cats and rabbits.

NCI said that if the business grew significantly, the company expected to increase its 100-strong workforce by up to 20 per cent.

He added that the company expects to announce more major deals over the next six months.

NCI was established in 2000 and provides pet, car and home insurance, as well as vehicle breakdown cover through its well-known Rescuemycar.com brand.
