The company expect the six-figure contract will result in them doubling their office staff.

The firm, which is based on Union Street and also works in the renewable energy industry, announced that they will be working to provide boiler maintenance across the North of England, but have not revealed who the contract is with as the other company involved would prefer to remain anonymous.

As part of a national emergency response team, Eclipse Energy will be responsible for immediate heating system repairs for households across a large portion of the country.

It is expected that the contract will create up to six full time jobs for the Halifax area with the potential for more in the future as Eclipse continues to grow other sectors of the business.

“This is a particularly exciting development for us, and continues our year of significant growth across all sectors of the business,” said Mark Bannister, director of Eclipse Energy.

“We have been lucky to work on some large scale contracts in the past. These include Better Homes Yorkshire, providing insulation to homes across the county and free boilers for those in need with the Affordable Warmth Scheme.

“These contracts have run alongside our growth in the able to pay market, providing A-rated boilers and renewable energy such as solar PV to help homeowners reduce their bills and carbon footprint.

“We’ve always been proud of the quality of service we provide to our local customers, so to be able to expand that reach across a larger area providing maintenance to those who need it is a great bonus to us.”
