New fit20 studio opens in Hebden Bridge
A brand-new fit20 studio has opened up in Hebden Bridge
The studio is owned by former teacher Helen Webster, who first discovered fit20 as a member at fit20 Halifax after spotting a roadside banner during her daily commute.
“At first, it was the idea of just 20 minutes a week that caught my attention,” Helen explains. “As a teacher with a long commute, I didn’t have the time or energy for traditional gyms.”

But after trying the training for herself, Helen says she quickly became “hooked”: “I realised it wasn’t just about the time.
"The studio was calm, private and welcoming, completely different from the loud, intimidating gym environments I’d avoided before. And most importantly, it actually worked.”
fit20 focuses on slow, controlled resistance strength training, delivered in one 20-minute session per week under the guidance of a personal trainer.
Helen says the impact on her own life has been significant.

“I used to struggle getting up off the floor and would get backache carrying my granddaughter around for more than a few minutes.
"Now those everyday things feel easy. I also play pickleball several times a week now and feel far stronger and more active than before.”
Having grown up near Hebden Bridge and worked locally for many years, Helen says opening the studio felt like a natural fit.
“I’ve always loved Hebden Bridge,” she said.
"It has such a strong sense of community and wellbeing already, so fit20 complements that perfectly.
"I’m excited to welcome people into the studio and help them feel stronger and healthier for the future.”
The opening of fit20 Hebden Bridge marks the 18th fit20 studio in the UK as the brand continues its expansion across the country.
Niri Patel, Managing Director of fit20 UK, said: “Helen’s journey is a brilliant example of why fit20 resonates with so many people. She experienced the benefits herself and became passionate about bringing it to her own community.
"We’re delighted to welcome her to the fit20 family and excited to see the impact she makes in Hebden Bridge.”
fit20 Hebden Bridge is now open at Burlees House on Hangingroyd Lane.
Residents are invited to book a free introductory session.
