New role for Brighouse woman at growing business

Alison Senior is one of the five new recruits made by the Business Enterprise Fund (BEF) and she will be based on Vicar Lane, Little Germany at the head office, alongside investment manager Hamish Rushworth and business mentor Rupert Shires.

Over the past 12 months, BEF has grown reaching its target of 100 percent growth and assisted 1,500 businesses across West and North Yorkshire.

Over the last ten years, BEF has loaned over £10 million to buisnesses across Yorkshire.

Of the businesses, 940 were new and BEF has helped to create 1,000 jobs.

Fund director Stephen Waud, said: “We’re delighted to welcome out new recruits to our team to support BEF with its current expansion plan.

“I’m sure they will be great assets to us as they are all joining with a wealth of experience gained over a number of years in their relevant sectors, from which we and our clients can only benefit.

“Over the last 12 months we have facilitated more than 200 loans at a value of £4.15 million and created hundreds of jobs.

“Without BEF some of the businesses we have supported would never have got off the ground, may have stood still at best or could have faced folding completely, hurting the already fragile economy in the region.”
