Hide AdAnnie Lancaster (RaggedyAnnie) and Kevin Jones (KevThePrint) have joined forces to form ‘The Crafty Owl Studio’.
Situated on Southgate in Elland this promises to be a creative hub for the area.
This new art and craft venue combines a wide variety of workshops with a gallery area featuring the work of local artists.
Councillor Victoria Porritt performed the ribbon cutting ceremony for the studio launch. It was standing room only as visitors listened to her speech and took the opportunity to look round the studio and gallery.

Hide AdAnnie said: "Workshops already lined up include rag rugging, embroidery, needle felting, lino printing, applique, goldwork embroidery and beginners glass fusing. Some of the sessions will be mid-week, including regular ‘Crafternoon Tea’ get togethers, and some of the courses will be held on Saturdays.
"There will also be the opportunity for people to book a session for their own group of between two and 12 people on a mutually convenient date.
"The gallery and shop area has a fabulous mix of work by local artists and craftspeople, from wall art, including paintings and prints, hand-made cards, glass and jewellery to quilting, embroidery, crochet and textile art.
