The snow is causing heavy delays for commuters in Calderdale this evening (Wednesday).

There is snow, fog and reduced visibility on the M62 in both directions between junction 25, A644 (Brighouse) and junction 22, A672 (Rishworth Moor).

There are hazardous driving conditions on the A629 Ovenden Road in Halifax at the Orange Street roundabout because of snow.

The road is just passable on the A646 Burnley Road between the A6033 Commercial Street junction in Hebden Bridge and the A6139 Tuel Lane junction in Halifax because of snow.

There is slow traffic on the A644 Wakefield Road in Mirfield from the Cooper Bridge roundabout to the M62 junction 25 roundabout junction.

On the buses, the Halifax 278 service is not serving Lower Edge due to snow and is instead diverting via the bottom end of Elland.

Users should expect delays on all routes because of the hazardous driving conditions.

There are no reported problems on the trains.

Weatherwise, there will be overnight lows of 0C and lows of 1C. Wind speeds will reach up to 9 miles per hour.
