VIDEO: Temporary traffic lights cause chaos at Hipperholme crossroads
Four sets of temporary traffic lights have been removed from Hipperholme crossroads.
Motorists were advised to find alternative routes as long tailbacks started to form along the A58 in both directions, Denholmegate Road and Brighouse Road during the morning rush hour.
The roadworks were being carried out in Denholmegate Road, Hipperholme, by Yorkshire Water following a burst water pipe which occurred over the weekend.
Lights were removed at Calderdale Council’s request this morning, although it is possible that further works may be required in the near future.
