Visitors will have the opportunity to mingle with old and new staff; enjoy complimentary cake and coffee and save-up-to 25 per cent on all 2017 brochure prices with selected operators, when booking on the day.

This celebration comes at the back of a very tough year, which saw the branch change locations after the flooding of its previous premises on Market Street in November 2016.

Over the 25 years, more than 130,000 people have booked a holiday with the Halifax branch of Wallace Arnold Travel.

The agency first opened for business in September 1991.

Sue Brook, branch manager, has worked for the company more than 28 years, starting her early days in Huddersfield in 1988 as a trainee, and working her way through the ranks to become manager before moving to the Halifax shop in April 2002.

Sue said: “25 years in business is a truly remarkable achievement, which we’re all immensely proud of. I am thankful for the fantastic support from local residents and staff, which allowed us to get back up on our feet and set up the new facility. We’re really looking forward to celebrating our anniversary with them”.

Natalie Collins, Wallace Arnold Travel sales manager, said: “We’re incredibly proud that the Halifax Wallace Arnold branch has reached this quarter of a century milestone.

“Our staff’s first-hand knowledge and extensive experience has helped us always make the best recommendations to our clients and retain our position as one of the leading agencies in the industry. The last few months have been particularly challenging after the flooding of our Market street premises, but the girls have pulled together and successfully helped relocate the branch.

“The two days celebratory events are our way of saying thank you to our loyal customers, whose continuous support over the years has allowed us to get where we are today.

“We will continue to listen to our customers, and build on our experience and relationships to provide them with the best holidays and service possible.”
