Barchester’s Spen Court care home, in Heckmondwike, got in the Christmas spirit by visiting Heathfield Farm in Birkenshaw, Bradford for a Christmas lunch.

Residents and staff had a brilliant time, we were greeted by a friendly face and shown to our reserved seating where the table was beautifully decorated and Christmas crackers. Heathfield Farm is a firm favourite of residents for the carvery’s delicious traditional pub menu.

The residents enjoyed pulling the crackers, winning crayons, a bottle opener and a pencil sharpener, all of which we shall keep for later use and they proudly wore their crown hats, sharing stories and memories of Christmas traditions with their own families.
