18 pupils at Calderdale school asked to self-isolate after teacher tests positive for COVID-19
Sue McManamin, headteacher, said: “To date there has not been an outbreak which is classed as two or more members of our community testing positive.
“One teacher has tested positive and I am relieved that other than very mild symptoms she is well.

Hide Ad“As a result, 18 Key Stage 1 pupils were asked to self-isolate at home.
“We followed the DfE guidance and all parents have been made aware of this situation and have responding in a very positive and supportive manner.
“I would like to reassure everyone that school have a detailed risk assessment in place and we are following all guidance appropriately.
“It is of course a pity that this has happened as the start of term has been enthusiastically welcomed by everyone, attendance has been high and the feeling around school has been lovely.”
