Brighouse sixth-formers celebrate A-level success
Students were enduring less stress than in previous years after a record number of university places were announced meaning students who had not achieved the points criteria for their chosen courses were still in with a good chance of getting on their preferred course through UCAS Clearing.
Head teacher Liz Creswell, said: “We’ve been really pleased with the performance of the students, we have had some fantastic results. Some of our students are going to some of the top universities in the country.

We have been pleased universities have dropped [in number of students applying] in some cases and have been more leeway this year than in previous years; allowing students in with perhaps a grade lower than their offer.”
“The results are a culmination of a team effort - the students first and foremost, with the support of staff and of course. parents and carers at home.”
