The review team identified the College’s carefully tailored support for students as an example of good practice.

It recommended that the College should produce a Work-Based Placement Handbook by the start of the 2014-15 academic year.

Chris Jones, Principal at Calderdale College, said: “The College is delighted that, as the only provider of higher education in Calderdale, QAA has confirmed the College’s academic standards and the quality of student learning opportunities on our degree courses.

“We are particularly pleased that the tailored support provided to students has been recognised as good practice.”

A successful review means that Calderdale College can display the QAA Quality Mark, indicating to UK and international students that the College meets national requirements for standards and quality.

The review team included Professor Jeremy Bradshaw (University of Edinburgh), Polly Skinner (independent reviewer), and Miss Caroline Dangerfield (student reviewer).
