NEW homes have been found for a huge collection of music and scripts amassed by West Yorkshire councils.
Subject to legal agreements, the drama collection will transfer to Leeds Central Library and the music will be housed in Kirklees Library HQ on Red Doles Lane, in Huddersfield.
Calderdale Council’s representative on the Yorkshire Libraries and Information Management Committee, Coun Ann McAllister, said: “It is great that the collections have been saved. This new model of delivering the service now means that the service can continue and that the groups and individuals who use the collections will continue to have access to them.”
The Music and Drama Library in Wakefield will close on March 31.
