Pupils took place in the event to remember Kath Ward who was a valued member of the school’s parents and teachers association.

Families came along to support the children who were all invited to take part and took home sponsorship forms as they looked to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Mrs Ward and her husband, Mick, were been part of our school for eight years before she died suddenly in 2010 aged 41 after a battle with cancer, The couple had two children Ben and Charlotte.

She was a tireless supporter of the PTA and made many close friends through this.

Her kindness, hard work and support meant a great deal to many and this was a theme in her work life at Norland Preschool where she made a huge difference to the children and parents she came into contact with during her ten years.
