Rastrick High School confirmed that a Year nine student has tested positive for COVID-19.

Mat Williams, Head of School, said: “After a very positive start to the year, this is of course disappointing news for parents, students and our team of staff. However, this decision has been taken in the best interest of the school community.

“We have provided the year group with a thorough Home Learning package and signposted our families to the correct guidance related to self-isolation, testing and identifying symptoms. We will continue to be providing free school meals to those students who need them and support our vulnerable students where necessary.

“We hope our students and their families stay well through this period and we are already looking forward to their return on Monday 28 September.”
