School life: Health and Social Care students explore medicine through the ages

Studying Health and Social Care can support a wide range of professional careers, and young people from the Maltings College progress on to a variety of professions such as nursing and psychology to community support and youth work to name a few!

As part of helping trainees to identify their potential specialism, the lecturing team run many trips and host visiting speakers to build and deepen knowledge.

Current Health and Safety students recently enjoyed a trip to the Thackray Museum to experience how medicine and science has developed and changed through the ages.

It not only developed vital knowledge, but also provided inspiration for those thinking about a career in medicine.
