Top award for school manager

A school business manager has won a prestigous award from the National Association of Independent Schools & Non-Maintained Special Schools (NASS)

Caroline Booth, from the William Henry Smith School in Rastrick, was presented with the NASS Rowie Shaw Award.

Each year the NASS Council seeks to make an award and can choose to focus on a specific professional group. In the past awards have been made to head teachers and heads of care. This year the award was allocated for any human resources initiative that has had a significant impact on an organisation.

Caroline, who joined the school in January 2012, was nominated for her abundance of enthusiasm, passion, strength and resilience which she brings to her role at the school.

She has developed her support services team and numerous initiatives designed to improve recruitment and retention and to reward staff across all departments.
