Ravenscliffe High School, Skircoat Green, opened its doors on Saturday to pupils, parents and members of the community wishing to purchase fresh produce grown on the school site and foods from local suppliers.

There was also a student dance group, music and raffle and a demonstration from school chef Tony Mulgrew.

It is hoped the market will become a regular event and is part of the school’s involvement with Food for Life Partnership with which it holds the highest accolade.
