NHS workers in Yorkshire and UK are honoured with grass painting in Mytholmroyd

A Yorkshire artist has created a piece of land art spanning 100 metres to thank NHS staff.

Jamie Wardley, artistic director and founder of Mytholmroyd arts organisation, is unveiling the grass painting today ahead of tomorrow's #ClapForCarers event.

The art work is placed on a field near to Broadcliffe Architectural Fabrications in the Calderdale area.

Wardley said: "The 100 metre grass painting is a solo piece of work to celebrate and thank all the NHS staff working on the front line to fight the Coronavirus pandemic."
