Rotarian Michael Stott has met with Ripley Castle owner Sir Thomas Ingilby to discuss the walk.

A spokesperson for the club said: “For 21 years Harrogate Rotary’s Nidderdale Charity Walk has successfully raised over £750,000 by the efforts of the walkers who have been sponsored by their own charities.”

All walks will start and finish in Ripley village, with the 10 and 20-mile walk routes taking in the attractions of Lower Nidderdale.

The family and special walks will take place within the grounds of Ripley Castle.
