‘No clarity’ on future of Calderdale Royal Hospital
There is still no clarity on the future of Calderdale Royal Hospital after health commissioners at Calderdale Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG) revealed they are still working through disagreements between themselves and Calderdale and Huddersfield Foundation Trust.
Dr Alan Brook, chair of Calderdale CCG, told CCG members that the consultation on the Right Care, Right Time, Right Place healthcare restructuring scheme was “not yet finalised”, adding “these is no clarity on how there services will look.”
He said the CCG agreed with Calderdale Council’s findings that “no change is not an option.”
Dr Brook said the PM’s pledge that the A&E department at Calderdale Royal will not close needs to be “taken up with the PM’s office - not the CCG.”
