Top award for most innovative health & social care training firm in Yorkshire – find out how they can help you
When Victoria Shackley and Tamara Beaumont set up the Vita brand in Halifax six years ago, they could only dream of their fast-paced rise to success with the development of two businesses in the health and social care sector.
Vita Care Consultants helps CQC registered care services to maintain and improve standards, while Vita Training & Development provides training for health and social care staff; either face-to-face or with remote learning, as well as courses funded through Skills for Care.
Their crowning glory has been winning the 2023 SME News UK Enterprise Awards trophy for the most innovative health and social care training company in Yorkshire.
Victoria Shackley said: “We believe we were chosen to win because, as a combined team, we strive to deliver learning, training and development which promotes and inspires the learner to achieve the best possible outcomes.
“Our hands-on experience in the care sector gives us an insight into what issues, hurdles and barriers the provider may be facing, including what their staff may also be facing.”
As a combined team, Victoria and Tamara have been registered managers across five services, working both privately and for the local authority.
For Vita Care Consultancy, they support care services and have successfully tried and tested, robust formulas for improving, embedding and maintaining CQC standards.
They also have a wealth of experience in care home management, including auditing, running quality assurance systems and training.
Tamara Beaumont said: “We are a driven and enthusiastic team, caring about raising standards in care.
“We are ecstatic with how the businesses are growing, especially over the last 18 months, and have seen lots of new customers and interest in what we can offer with consultancy and training across the UK to training other companies. We are now able to deliver over 28 courses.
“Our team continues to grow, with the two of us at the helm. We also now have two full-time trainers, a Qualified Assessor and IQA with a combined 50 years of experience in health and social care, training and development.”
