17. Covered Westgate Arcade
The covered Westgate Shopping Arcade was a multi million pound development project completed in 2007 that aimed to attract more independent retailers to the town centre.
18. Regeneration of Dean Clough
Work to regenerate Dean Clough mills into a thriving part of town has really taken shape since 2000. There's now around 150 businesses operating there as well as restaurants, bars and a hotel.
19. Goodbye Woolworths
It was a sad day in Halifax back in 2009 when the much-loved shop on Market Street closed its doors when the company went into administration. The site is now a Poundland.
20. Regeneration of Northgate
Over the past couple of years Northgate House has begun to undergo a major development project which has seen the library move and the space set to become a Sixth Form centre and complex.
