17. The Tube
The Tube opened on Wards End in 1999 and was once known as 'Halifaxs premier venue for house music'. The building has been known by a few different names over the years including Platform and Three Monkeys Wine Bar.
18. Tramshed and Zoo Bars
The Tramshed and Zoo Bars were side-by-side nightclubs on Lord Street featuring rock, emo, indie, punk and ska music. The venues closed after a police raid found hundreds of underage drinkers.
19. X'ess
Sitting above Brasserie at the Bull, formerly known as Bull's Head, was X'ess, a nightclub where many revellers enjoyed a night out over the years. This is now party bar called Origin which opened last year.
20. Black Swan
Another venue known by many names over the years. This site was originally the Black Swan, later demolished, and has been Ritzy's, Nicola's and Candlelight before becoming Yates in 1992.
