Halifax's Acapulco and Eureka Children's museum team up for movie drive-in spectacular

The Acapulco nightclub and Eureka Children's museum have joined together to thank workers in the emergency services.

The partnership is offering workers and their families a free night at the movies with a drive in movie experience in Halifax.

The Drive in Movie Event to be held on the weekend of Friday October 9 to SUnday October 11 in the Eureka Car park.

The movie classics playing will be films such as Grease, The Greatest Showman and Bohemian Rhapsody.

They will be free for all police, fire, ambulance and hospital workers with a ‘Blue Light Card’.

Simon Jackson from the Acapulco said: “While we have scarified not opening since March, we know that our emergency services and hospital workers have scarified and risked so much to keep us all safe.

"We have always given Blue Light Card holders Free Admission in to the Acapulco, but currently we can’t do that as we aren’t able to open at present, so we wanted to come up with a way in which we could give these heroes some much needed light hearted relaxation time with there families.

"We worked in association with the incredible people at Eureka and DrivingMovie.co.uk to plan this event and give something back.

"A Drive In Movie, is the ultimate in Social Distancing as you remain seated and safe in you own car, only ever mixing with people from within your Car.

"Without the people of Eureka and DrivingMovie.co.uk it would have been possible to do”

The Movie Event will be open to the general public with admission being just £30 per car, with movies starting at 8pm with gates opening at 7pm

Having had many enquiries tickets are selling fast, with Blue Light Card Holders and the general Public being able to get tickets from www.drivingmovie.co.uk
