Brewery hopes to toast world record
The idea for the world record attempt came after Dr Paul Harris and Angus Wood, Stod Fold’s founding partners and childhood friends, saw an image of a large glass of Guinness on the internet
They discovered it belonged to Eric Johnson, world record holder for the largest glass of beer at 2,638 pints, which was achieved in California in 2009.

The world record is taking place in collaboration with The Fleece Countryside Inn, Ripponden.
Angus Wood, co-founder of Stod Fold Brewing Company said: “Paul and I are fired up about attempting to erect the world’s largest glass of beer.
The existing record has been held for five years, so it’s time to see if it can be broken.”

“I’m looking forward to seeing the expressions on the faces of our customers once they see the enormous beer glass filled with a local beer,” he said.
The attempt will take place at midday on Sunday July 6 at The Fleece Countryside Inn, Ripponden.
