Come and join the crowds in food paradise

Halifax transforms into a food lover's paradise this weekend with the ninth Food and Drink Festival.

More than 100 stalls will line town centre roads selling a smorgasbord of culinary delights.

Local chefs including Richard Walsh and students of Calderdale College Cuisine 1893, Mark Parkinson, Pajaree Newlove, the guys from the West Midlands Jerk Centre and the Nigel Brown Cookery School will demonstrate how to make fabulous dishes in the cookery theatre with live demonstrations on the hour throughout the festival which runs over Saturday and Sunday.

Traders will be selling everything concerned with the kitchen and you’ll be able to buy anything from traditional Yorkshire pork pies to street food from around the world and wash it down with a pint of craft ale or maybe a cocktails. Go to www.halifaxfoodfest.co.uk for timings.
