Property website Rightmove said the majority of sales in Halifax during the last year were terrace properties, selling for an average price of £102,229. Semi-detached homes sold for an average of £159,134, with detached properties fetching £286,962.
Overall, sold prices in Halifax over the last year were 9 per cent up on the previous year and 7 per cent down on the 2013 peak of £143,726.
The majority of sales across the whole borough during the last year were terraces, selling for an average price of £129,883. Semi-detached properties sold for an average of £186,184, with detached properties fetching £326,210.
Overall, sold prices in Calderdale over the last year were 41 per cent up on the previous year and 15 per cent up on the 2016 peak of £149,728.
