5. Tour de Yorkshire
The Tour de Yorkshire has set off from The Piece Hall on its final stage for two years and each event attracted thousands of residents and visitors to see the race begin. It was due to return in 2020. Picture: Bruce Fitzgerald.
6. TV appearance

7. Interesting antiques
Antiques expert Philip Serrell made a very unusual purchase on a visit to Als Emporium in The Piece Hall for an episode of Antiques Road Trip on BBC. The episode aired back in 2019.
8. Fabulous shows
The Enchanted Chandelier, a circus style concert with fire-wielding acrobats, bell-ringing musicians and a huge musical chandelier that was raised 50 metres into the air, attracted 8,000 visitors. Picture: Chris Lord Photo: Chris Lord
