Stainland Lions Running Club is preparing for its 25th Boxing Day fun run, from the Red Lion, Stainland,
The three-mile run starts at 11am and is open to everybody. The pub opens at 9.30am for registration and hot drinks and after the run it hosts a charity auction for Martin House and Forget-Me-Not children’s hospice. Lions chairman John Bassinder said: “Twenty-five years and it gets better each time!
“This run is now a tradition for lots of people and is a perfect family day.”
Entry fees are £4 for adults £2 for under-16s, and as it is popular with families wanting to run together, there is a family entry fee at £10.
